After successfully achieving the Work Package 2 outputs, it is now possible to recover all the main steps given for it. First, several questionnaires and focus groups were implemented as agreed during the kick-off meeting.\u00a0 This action was followed by the mapping of LAGs, which stands for Local Action Groups, divided by region. This helped to get to know with figures the state of the situation concerning low-skilled adults, seniors and the LAGs. Commonly, the DIGINEXT partners focused on analysing the following:\u00a0<\/p>

  • Cultural demands in rural communities.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>
    • Essential requirements for training systems, especially in\u00a0developing digital skills.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>
      • Approaches to advancing digital transition in rural areas.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>
        • Distinct needs of various target groups.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>

          In Spain, the results of the questionnaire have seen participation from 16 LAG officers, 37 seniors, and 29 low-skilled adults. Spain currently has 252 registered LAGs, from which 49 are based in the southern participant partner Andalusia region. They are shown with detailed information accessible to the interactive online mapping. This resource offers access to essential details about each LAG in every nearby area, including names, locations, contact information, and demographic data.\u00a0<\/p>

          \u00a0<\/p>

          The strategies employed by the LAGs focus on digital literacy, mentorship, and improved access to technology. Key areas of interest include digital inclusion, health and wellness through telemedicine, social participation via community platforms, and enhancing autonomy with assistive technologies. The LAGs advocate for supportive policies and collaborate with governmental and other organisations to implement these initiatives. \u00a0<\/p>

          The conclusions on cultural interests show that despite\u00a043.8% of LAG respondents indicated the existence of cultural promotion associations, only 12.5% organise annual cultural activities, mainly focusing on cultural heritage and reading workshops, with 37.5% of these activities aimed at seniors and low-skilled adults. Among low-skilled adults, 72% are aware of organisations working in their area, but only 28% are engaged with them. For seniors, nearly 88% are familiar with local organisations promoting cultural activities, and 62% have participated in such activities. Desired cultural activities identified by seniors include theatre, heritage events, classical music, guided tours or hiking among other.\u00a0<\/p>

          \u00a0<\/p>

          With these data, the needs gap has been identified and defined with precise figures. Hence, this will encompass the development of a training course detailed in work package 3 after setting up the DIGINEXT e-Rural Inclusion Specialist profiles. With this purpose, incipient actions have been taken under the work package 3 tasks outputs framework. The trainees will be specifically taught related topics to\u00a0cope with the detected needs on digital skills and senior people inclusion\u00a0in the rural areas.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
